Without a doubt that's the longest post title I've ever written. It sums up the post very well, but since this is a platform to
"Look! A trickle of water running through some dirt! I'd say our afternoon just got booked solid!” (Bill Watterson).
(making new friends)
I have a few people that simply blow my mind in the kid (after my own heart) department... Walt Disney, Dr. Seuss, C.S.Lewis, Bill Watterson... This quote is from Bill, and if that name does not ring a bell for you, he´s the absolutely incredible mind behind Calvin&Hobbs. Awesome.

The time with my sister here was proof that there is truth in that quote. Video-games were played by a nephew and his uncle with equal admiration for each other. The younger kid because he believes (and I'm not about to disagree) that his uncle is the best video-game player in the world. The older kid because he had quality time with the younger one and was very happy with how good he is at the game. Made their nights a whole lot of fun.New friends were made and at one point we had 3 spider-men saving the world together. I was let in on a secret that I confess to not remember anymore, and was very happy to spend time with some of my favorite people (short and tall version).
We went out together and had fun with everything from sport stores to parks where we were "being scientific" and playgrounds where the youngest kid learned how to swing.

Almost daily it hits me that life flies by and I usually feel like I'm playing catch-up. I keep trying to enjoy the journey, book an afternoon solid with whatever my version of a trickle of water running through some dirt is. Enjoy the things that I have at hand to do. Dance to the music. Do my chores fast so I can go outside and play. Use my imagination.Since life gives us a push at unlearning these things I´m very grateful to the kids in my life that help me have that kind of fun when we're together and remember that when we´re not.
Have a great, happy, fun weekend everyone!
