My Paris Trip - let´s talk clothes (6/7)

I hate packing. It´s seriously stressful, even when I´m going to spend a few days at my parent's house and can borrow from my mom and sister. The only place that doesn't stress me with packing is the USA because I always buy a lot so what I pack is indifferent. Any other place and you'll find me stressed out. I don't know why, it´s just something I hate. Unpacking I don't mind so much, packing is torture.

One thing the internet raved about before my trip is how well Parisians dress, how tennis shoes are a sin and anything other than black is absurd. Well, that´s not entirely true. People that dress well do so regardless of their nationality, and the more designer clothes a person can buy, the more chance you have of that person being well dressed. That applies to Paris as well. One thing I did realize is that gym/yoga/sports wear is NOT worn on the streets. Seriously, I did not see one pair of leggings or gym wear on anyone that was not clearly a tourist. Another fact is that color is used sparingly - maybe that´s a European thing, I don´t know.

Since I know NOTHING of fashion and packing is torture I packed things that went with anything else in my  suitcase. I don't really like tennis shoes so I traveled in boots and wore them there, but tennis shoes are a must for the amount of walking we did (12 to 18 km per day) and it's a lie that Parisians don't wear tennis shoes. They should actually wear more tennis shoes because the other footwear isn't particularly cute.

I did an impressive amount of shopping for someone on an extreme budget in a very, very, very expensive city. We went to this store called Sympa (at the base of Sacre Coeur) and it´s insane!! It´s a discount store with leftovers from brands. I had a lot of fun and made cute purchases (like the sweater above for about 5 euro).

We had great weather so the jacket I wore on the first day stayed in the apartment the other days, and I ended up buying 3 more jackets (yep, all on sale/discount) that are lighter weight than anything I had at home.

I´m not a huge fan of button downs but this one really changed my opinion of them...

Have you noticed I love Levi's? I really, really do. This jacket was the first one I bought in Paris. I loved the polka dots on the sleeve, the hubbie looked at it and said: hey, it´s minnie mouse's jacket! :)

The second jacket I bought... my favorite actually.

This store, Best Mountain, is awesome. We ended up buying a blazer for the hubbie there and it is just perfect. I wanted the entire store...

Thanks for scrolling and I´ll see you Friday for the food post! yum!
